Your Room Between

You are in The
Transition Room.

You are in active transition. Something has changed — or is changing — and you are in the middle of navigating it. Not on the other side of it yet. Not still standing safely on the shore you left. You are in the crossing. And the crossing, even when it was chosen, even when it was necessary, is its own particular kind of hard.

The Transition Room is where change becomes real. Where the decision has been made, the door has opened, the ground has shifted — and now you are in the business of actually moving through it. This is not a waiting room. This is the work itself.

Emotional Recognition

Not quite who you were. Not yet who you are becoming.

You are not unhappy exactly. But you are not fully alive in your own life either. You go through the motions of a life that looks right — that is right, in many ways — while something quieter and more insistent is asking to be heard. The achievement is real. The relationships are real. And so is the sense that something essential in you has been pushed to the margins while everything else got your full attention.

This is not ingratitude. This is misalignment. And misalignment, when you finally name it, is something you can actually do something about.

What This Room Between May Be Asking

Get honest about who you are underneath it all.

The Transition Room is asking you to resist the pressure to be further along than you are. It is asking you to move through the change rather than around it — to let it actually change you rather than just change your circumstances. It is asking you to find support rather than white-knuckling through it alone. And it is asking you to trust that the crossing itself, not just the destination, is where the most important transformation is happening.

Three Reflection Questions

1

What part of this transition are you most resisting — and what might that resistance be protecting you from having to feel or face?

2

Who or what is helping you stay grounded in the middle of this crossing — and what additional support would make the path forward feel more possible?

3

What does the woman on the other side of this transition need from the woman you are right now — and what is one thing you could do this week to give her that?
